Kuningan

Kuningan is one of the districts in West Java that has beautiful natural tourism with an abundant area of natural wealth, air coolness, waterfalls, mountains, hills and hot water up to the green of the brass will be a magnificent sight.

Artificial reservoir was built in 1958 and it also has an area of about 425 hectares. Surrounded by hills and valleys and beautiful scenery with cool air. Darma Reservoir is also a favorite for anglers, while traveling in the reservoir they can do fishing activities at the edge of the reservoir or by boarding a boat. In addition there are several fish breeding ponds cultivated by local residents, in some locations people are allowed for fishing. There is also an island in the middle of a reservoir called Munjul Goong.

The water source in Darma Reservoir comes from Cinangka River and Cisalak River, then the water in the reservoir is used for irrigation of paddy fields in Kuningan regency up to Cirebon Regency and also used for drinking water by Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) in Kuningan and Cirebon.

“Curug Putri” is a natural tourism, it is located close to the Palutungan Campground in Kuningan District and beside the waterfall there is a climbing route to Mount Ciremai. Forest area and waterfall located at the foot of Mount Ciremai surrounded by cliffs and dense trees, making the atmosphere of the tour here is very natural. The height of this waterfall is about 20 meters and the water is very clear because it comes from the mountain springs. It was Named “Curug Putri” because if people carefully paying attention to see it, it is seen as a daughter who stood looking sideways and looking up with a long hair.

Panembongan hill provides a natural scenery of hills and forests that are still very beautiful. The cold air and fog that enveloped the valley surrounding the local residents is worth enjoying. The location of Panembongan Hill is in the Southeast of the Kuningan City, this side of the location is very precise to enjoy the sunrise in the morning facing the East.

“Telaga Biru” or locals called it “Situ Cicerem” located on the foot of mount Ciremai. This pond is surrounded by shady trees, blue tosca water and clean water make this place very exotic. There is also a variety of fish that make it more complete. Activities in “Telaga Biru” is fishing and flying fox that directly plunge into the water in the pond.

The clear water, the cool air and the surrounding dense forests make this beautiful location called “Telaga Nilem”. The source of the water comes from the spring of Mount Ciremai and makes the water in Telaga Nilem very clean and looks like glass. The base of this lake are rocks and gravel that overgrown with algae and moss.

“Telaga Remis” is a pond located at the foot of Mount Ciremai and the largest pond of two other ponds such as “Telaga Nilem” and “Telaga Biru”. The silence atmosphere in “Telaga Remis” with cool air, beautiful scenery and beautifully equipped with tall pine trees make this pond green tosca will make us feel calm and comfortable to be there.

Majalengka

Majalengka district is a city in West Java that has beautiful mountain view. Tourism places in Majalengka has their own unique style. It nears Ciremai Mountain which is the tallest mountain in West Java.

Panyaweuyan Argapura terrace, located in Majalengka District known as Agrotourism destination. The beauty of the terraces in Panyaweuyan not inferior to Jatiluwih or Tegalalang terraces in Bali. This terrace attracts visitors because of the terraced fields looks like a staircase around the foot of Mount Ciremai. Plants planted by farmers are: onion, garlic, leek and cabbage. For photography lovers immortalize this scene should be precise in the morning before the sun is visible behind Mount Ciremai and terraces shrouded in the mist.

Sawiyah Peak is a plantation that is located in Sangiang Village, Majalengka District near the protected forest in the National Park Ciremai Region. The height of Sawiyah Peak is approximately 1300 above sea level with cold air, fertile soil and see the activities of farmers grow crops.

Sawiyah Peak has a natural charm. People can see clearly some of the mountain from the Sawiyah Peak such as Galunggung Mountain and Papandayan Mountain. Not far from Sawiyah peak location there is a waterfall known as ”Curug Sawiyah” or “Curug Genclang”. It can be reached on foot about 40 minutes.

Another namefrom “Curug Muara Jaya” or abbreviated to“Curug Maja” is “Curug Apuy” which is located in Muara River. The existence of this waterfall is very natural also equipped with valleys and hills overgrown with trees. This 2-story waterfall is still at the foot of Mount Ciremai with the overall height of the waterfall reaches about 73 meters. The first waterfall called “Curug 1” is the main waterfall that falls from a height of about 60 meters and the second level waterfall called “Curug 2” is a short waterfall that is only about 13 meters high.

Green Canyon

Cukang Taneuh or known by the name of Green Canyon, was popularized by a French citizen in 1993. The real name of Cukang Taneuh has the meaning of the Land Bridge, because above the valley and the ravine Green Canyon is a bridge used by farmers to go to their garden.

Green Canyon is located in Kertayasa Village, Cijulang District, Ciamis, West Java. This tourist attraction that is popular is a stream from the Cijulang river that passes through the cave with the beauty of stalactites and stalagmites. This area is flanked by two hills, and also surrounded by the many rocks and trees into a beautiful natural painting created by itself.

Another interesting place is called Princess Pool, it is called the Princess Pool because there was a myth about a very beautiful woman. She appeared at midnight on the night of one Suro (an event in Javanese culture). It is a clear, cool, watery pool that is above 8 meters.

During the trip to the location by using a motor boat assembled, we can enjoy the river flow with green tosca, refraction from the sunlight is blocked by trees around bouncing into the river and rocks. If you are brave enough, try to jump from a height of 7 meters from the top of the rock on the cliff wall, it is called by the name of Stone Umbrella. Once people Arrive at the top of Umbrella Stone, people will feel the high adrenaline.

Batu Karas Beach is a suitable place for playing in the water such as, swimming, banana boat, or another water sport. Location of Batu Karas Beach is not to far from Green Canyon and become on of the tourism places in Pangandaran, Cijulang District.

The calm atmosphere form the nature, the whispering breeze, friendly sea water waves and sloping beaches make visitors forget the fatigue of their daily activities in the big city. People can enjoy the sunrise from Batu Karas Beach.

It is known as Batu Hiu Beach because about 200 meters form the beach there is a coral reef that looks like a shark fin slammed by big waves. The uniqueness of this beach is when entering the gate to climb the hill there is a small cave that looks like a shaped of shark mouth.

This beach has a steep cliff with views of the open sea in the Indian Ocean. Batu Hiu is about 15 km from Cijulang which is located in Ciliang Village, Parigi sub district. From the top of a cliff overgrown with pandanus trees, enjoying considerable wind blow and the blue color of the Indian Ocean.

Not many people know the beach Keusik Luhur, because this place is very difficult to find, even the instruction name of the beach is not there. The charm of the beach is if people go in the afternoon to enjoy the sunset, people can see from the top of the hill that leads to the Indian Ocean.

Towards Keusik Luhur Beach from Cijulang village about an hour long trip due to road conditions that sometimes broken and sometimes in a good condition. Locations are in Legok Jawa, Ciamis, West Java. Legok Javanese position is the tip of West Java which the angle leads to the southeast.

Garut

Garut is not only recognized by the natural attractions of the mountains and culinary that is delicious, but also about the natural wealth that is in the longest coastline in West Java. Garut became one of the tourism potential that must be visited and enjoyed. Some of the south beaches owned by Garut can be visited by driving. Along the south coast has a unique and beautiful potential.

Santolo Island is in Garut regency has an unique phenomenon and only occur in two places in the world, one of them is in France and Indonesia. On this coast of sea water flowing into the river not vice versa, the phenomenon that occurs in the mouth of the River Cilauteureun is interesting to visit. To visit Santolo, from the main beach must cross the Cilauteureun River about 50 meters by using fishing boats.

On this island the condition of this beach is a coral not a sand, so people must wear footwear to walk. Other than that, on this island people can see the waves from the open sea hit the coral beach. The biota in the sea trapped between the coral cavities are also an interesting and funny scenery. Not only biota, corals and beaches, on this island there is a dock of left by the Dutch in 1850.

It has a fine beach sand. In some parts of the coast there are rocks and cliffs that are high enough. At night on this beach is a cool place to relax.

Manalusu beach is a clean with white sand extending to the west, while on the other side of the beach there is a coral. The atmosphere here is very quiet, a very good place to play water and swim at the beach.

The beauty of the reefs, the small river estuaries and the trees that grow around the beach provide a natural color on the beach Cicalobak.

Guha Peak is a cliff that is right on the beach and there is a cave below it. In this cave there are alot of bats nearly tens of thousands of bats. In this Peak people can indulge the eye to see the sunrise from behind the hill.

Guha Peak is also the meeting place of the two main characters Kugy and Keenan in Dee's book entitled PERAHU KERTAS by Dewi Lestari, in 2009 and filmed in 2012 as well as shooting location of PERAHU KERTAS 2.

Ciletuh Geopark

Ciletuh area is in Tamanjaya, Ciemas, Sukabumi district. It is considered as one of the places in Java that has the oldest rocks, so this area becomes very rare geologically. The rocks that are found around this region show a very exotic scenery to be unique, both in terms of the composition of the rock and in terms of nature.

The Waterfall that has a height of about 20 meters in the area of Ciletuh Geopark is Curug Sodong. The uniqueness of this waterfall it has two adjacent waterfalls, then on the bottom surface of the waterfall there is a cavity basin like a cave. Beautiful natural scenery around this waterfall is a lot of grows green and shady trees.

This waterfall has 2 other names, such as Curug Kembar and Curug Pengantin. Both names are given because the waterfall has a flow of water that falls from the top with the same shape and is also considered like a groom and a bride who paired and facing each other. Above Curug Sodong there is another waterfall called Curug Cikanteh.

Palangpang Beach is the estuary of Cimarinjung Curug water flow that flows to this beach. The shape of this beach is like a horseshoe when viewed from a distant height, sea gradations are light blue and dark blue from the beach is very beautiful if tourist look it from a distance. Sand on the beach is white brown, around the beach there are rice fields that decorate the beauty of this beach.

The Uniqueness of Curug Cimarinjung is located in the middle of the slope and surrounded by cliffs and green trees. Waterfall hills layer with rock cliffs, large rocks scattered around the surface flow of waterfalls and the expanse of plants that complement this waterfall to be fresh. The height of this waterfall is about 70 meters.

Darma Peak is one part of Ciletuh Geopark tourism places that has an amazing scenery. From the top of this hilltop we can see the beauty of Ciletuh bay which is shaped like a horseshoe and beautiful blue sea with green decorated from the surrounding settlement. Darma Peak is one of the highest peaks that exist in the area of Ciletuh Geopark, it has an altitude about 230 meters from sea level. Getting here requires a great struggle and determination to enjoy its beauty, because the access roads are mostly still steep and rocky, narrow and not possible to reach by car that if it is not made for offroad.

The water source in this waterfall is not from mountain springs. Waterfall in the area Ciletuh Geopark which is at the top of the waterfall in the flow of the river Ciletuh is Curug Awang. This waterfall is located in the village of Taman Jaya Ciemas district Sukabumi regency of West Java and it has a height of about 40 meters with a width of about 60 meters. The uniqueness of this waterfall is the beauty of natural stone walls with reddish brown color and also as a characteristic of this place.

Panenjoan Hill is a place to see the landscape with a vast expanse of rice fields surrounded by forest trees, hills, settlements and views of the sea from a distance. The word "Panenjoan" comes from Sundanese, which means "a place to see." This place is perfect for enjoying the natural landscape of Ciletuh Geopark.

Panenjoan hill is a favorite spot in Ciletuh Geopark because of its easy access and complete supporting facilities such as cafe, mosque and parking lot. The location near the office of PAPSI (Paguyuban Alam Pakidulan Sukabumi) as the management of this area and can find information about Ciletuh Geopark.

Geological rocks in this place are very unique because it resembles batik also it is still in the area Ciletuh Geopark. This rock is the oldest rock in the world that was about 6 million years ago according to the researchers. Access to Batu Batik must use fishing boats from the Palangpang Pier, because access via land routes is not yet available.

In Ciwaru village there is an island called Kunti Island. The island has white sand, clear sea water and some unique rocks. According to geologists, rocks around the island are also the oldest rocks in the world. Around Kunti Island there are coral reefs, we can play water also snorkeling in this area.

Ujung Genteng

Ujung Genteng is a southern coastal area in Sukabumi, West Java. Most of the inhabitants are Fishermen and Farmers. Ujung Genteng name is derived from Edge Scissors, because the position of Edge Tile is at the tip of one corner of the island in West Java which is shaped scissors. The tip of the top scissors is in Ujung Kulon and the tip of the scissors bottom is at Ujung Genteng.

The uniqueness in Ujung Genteng beach is people can see the sunrise and also the sunset in the same position. The beach is clean enough, the sea water is still clean and the waves big enough for surf lovers.

Pangumbahan conservation is a conservation or captivity that is managed by the local government. In the Ujung Genteng area there is a breeding for green turtles. It lays eggs at night and dig a hole for the eggs and then closed the hole that has been excavated.

These turtles can be touch and they are very friendly. Moving with this enchanted body emblazoned so we can see the tiny body shape.

This coastline is still covered by shady trees that make the air cool. Also, not far from the conservation we can enjoy the white sandy beach. This beach is adjacent to Pangumbahan.

The original name of Curug Cikaso is Curug Luhur, because it flows from the Cikaso river named Cicurug. Curug Cikaso formed from three waterfall dots adjoining in one location. The water that flows on the left is called Curug Asepan, which is in the middle called Curug Meong, and the one on the right named Curug Aki. The three have the same height and the same width, which is about 80 meters high.

Below the waterfall is a pool for swimming. The water that comes down the pool is bluish White while the water pool is bluish green, the refraction of light from the sun and the blue sky.

This beach is better known as “Tanah Lot Amanda Ratu” which is 15 miles from Ujung Genteng Beach. Amanda Ratu Beach position is in Vila Amanda Ratu area. The uniqueness on this beach is a coral in the middle of the beach that resemble Tanah Lot in Bali and better known as Tanah Lot Amanda Ratu. The trees grow and the breeze from the sea makes the air around feels cool.

Curug Cigangsa is one of the waterfall with beautiful panorama for the visitors. The water that flows so swiftly makes this places enjoy to relax for a moment while enjoying the natural surroundings.
