Kuningan
Artificial reservoir was built in 1958 and it also has an area of about 425 hectares. Surrounded by hills and valleys and beautiful scenery with cool air. Darma Reservoir is also a favorite for anglers, while traveling in the reservoir they can do fishing activities at the edge of the reservoir or by boarding a boat. In addition there are several fish breeding ponds cultivated by local residents, in some locations people are allowed for fishing. There is also an island in the middle of a reservoir called Munjul Goong.
The water source in Darma Reservoir comes from Cinangka River and Cisalak River, then the water in the reservoir is used for irrigation of paddy fields in Kuningan regency up to Cirebon Regency and also used for drinking water by Perusahaan Daerah Air Minum (PDAM) in Kuningan and Cirebon.
“Curug Putri” is a natural tourism, it is located close to the Palutungan Campground in Kuningan District and beside the waterfall there is a climbing route to Mount Ciremai. Forest area and waterfall located at the foot of Mount Ciremai surrounded by cliffs and dense trees, making the atmosphere of the tour here is very natural. The height of this waterfall is about 20 meters and the water is very clear because it comes from the mountain springs. It was Named “Curug Putri” because if people carefully paying attention to see it, it is seen as a daughter who stood looking sideways and looking up with a long hair.
Panembongan hill provides a natural scenery of hills and forests that are still very beautiful. The cold air and fog that enveloped the valley surrounding the local residents is worth enjoying. The location of Panembongan Hill is in the Southeast of the Kuningan City, this side of the location is very precise to enjoy the sunrise in the morning facing the East.
“Telaga Biru” or locals called it “Situ Cicerem” located on the foot of mount Ciremai. This pond is surrounded by shady trees, blue tosca water and clean water make this place very exotic. There is also a variety of fish that make it more complete. Activities in “Telaga Biru” is fishing and flying fox that directly plunge into the water in the pond.
The clear water, the cool air and the surrounding dense forests make this beautiful location called “Telaga Nilem”. The source of the water comes from the spring of Mount Ciremai and makes the water in Telaga Nilem very clean and looks like glass. The base of this lake are rocks and gravel that overgrown with algae and moss.
“Telaga Remis” is a pond located at the foot of Mount Ciremai and the largest pond of two other ponds such as “Telaga Nilem” and “Telaga Biru”. The silence atmosphere in “Telaga Remis” with cool air, beautiful scenery and beautifully equipped with tall pine trees make this pond green tosca will make us feel calm and comfortable to be there.
